Aged 4/5 in 1980 I worked with my dad Tizzy the clown on the front of the Paul Daniels Magical Museum on the Golden Mile in Blackpool performing the Head guillotine illusion to help attract an “edge” and get customers to go into the sideshow style attraction.
Memorably at the age of 15 in early 1991 with the help of Magicians Jamie Allan and David Arkay, we supplied to Television Illusionist Simon Drake our version and method of the Impaled Illusion which he then used on his UK Theatre Tour and also on the Iron Maiden “Raising Hell” Farewell Show which was broadcast on Television around the world. We later supplied this method of Impaled illusion to Ron Dickson of Horror Illusion Show “Nightmare” and other performers.
During the 1991 Christmas Season aged just 16 in his former stage name of Alex-Le-Roy, Jonathan was the highest selling sales person in England out of all stores for Marvin’s Magic. The Secrets of how in Bolton, Lancashire he sold more Svengali Deck Magic Tricks than the London Stores or anywhere else are revealed in his book “The Art of the Perfect Pitch”.
In July 2004 I set a new record for escaping from multiple pairs of handcuffs, leg irons along with loads of chains and padlocks whilst underwater which had the media at the time dub me the “New Houdini” and during which I almost got killed by drowning.

At the 2011 Southern England Magic Convention I ran a Hypnosis & Mentalism Workshop on the Saturday evening and then on the Sunday I did a Magic & Mentalism Lecture & appeared on the Gala Show, after the event, convention organiser Collin Richardson stated: “Many thanks for all your help, for giving a truly educational Hypnosis Workshop, a controversial magical and mentalism lecture and for a totally professional & entertaining Gala Show Performance”
